What is fire agate?
Fire agate shows a natural iridescent play of red, gold and green from thin layers of iron oxide inside the stone — entirely natural, with no dye, cut as a cabochon to bring out the fire. At 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale it wears well in a ring, pendant or earrings.
