JCK Magazine
JCK Magazine
The principal American jewellery industry trade publication
JCK magazine is the principal English-language trade publication of the American jewellery industry. Originally titled The Jewelers' Circular Keystone, the magazine was created in 1977 by the merger of two older trade journals, The Jewelers' Circular dating from 1869 and Keystone dating from 1879. The acronym JCK has displaced the long form in modern usage and identifies both the print magazine and its sibling digital property JCK Online, as well as the JCK Las Vegas trade show.
Editorial Scope
JCK covers the wholesale and retail segments of the United States jewellery industry, with editorial focus on retail merchandising, manufacturing, watches, gemstones, diamonds, store operations, technology, regulation, supply chain and trade-association activity. The magazine's longer feature pieces and its coverage of industry-wide developments such as lab-grown diamond disclosure, treatment disclosure and ethical-sourcing standards have made it a primary continuing record of the American trade.
Standing
Within the American industry JCK is widely regarded as the publication of record and is consequently a frequent reference point in trade negotiations, courtroom expert testimony, and standards consultations. The combination of the print magazine, the digital JCK Online site and the annual JCK Las Vegas trade show under common ownership at RX Global has consolidated the JCK editorial operation as the central commercial information source for the trade.
