Jewelers Circular Keystone

Jewelers Circular Keystone

A long-running American trade publication serving the retail and manufacturing jewellery industries

Trade & market termsView in dictionary · 220 words

Jewelers Circular Keystone, abbreviated JCK, is one of the oldest continuously published trade titles in the American jewellery industry. It traces its origins to two earlier publications, the Jewelers' Circular and the Keystone, both founded in the late nineteenth century, which were merged into a single title in the twentieth century. The combined publication has served retail jewellers, manufacturers, designers, and supply-chain trade members through print, digital, and event channels for more than a hundred years.

Editorial Coverage

JCK reports on retail trends, designer collections, gemstone and metal markets, regulatory developments affecting the trade, and the major industry trade shows. The publication is closely associated with the JCK Las Vegas trade show, one of the largest fine jewellery events in North America, held annually since 1992 and serving as the principal North American counterpart to the September Hong Kong show and the Italian Vicenzaoro fairs.

Trade Position

Within the American industry the title sits alongside National Jeweler and Couture as a primary trade source. Coverage tends to address retail-floor concerns, including merchandising, financing, insurance, training, and lab-grown diamond strategy, alongside design and gem-trade reporting. The brand has changed corporate ownership several times, and as of the most recent restructurings is published by RX, a division of RELX Group.
