SkyJems has been selling coloured gemstones and custom jewellery online continuously since 1999, within a family business that dates to 1967, when Adel ("Eddie") Saad — the "King of Emeralds", known in the Colombian emerald trade as "Don Eddie" — began bringing gems from Brazil to Canada. David Saad, his son and current principal gemologist, has led SkyJems since 1999.
