Collection: Kunzite

Kunzite’s pink brilliance was discovered in 1902 and is named after George F. Kunz, the American gemologist, author, and vice-president of Tiffany and Co. in New York. Kunzite jewellery is often worn in the evenings, as the gem is susceptible to fading when exposed to strong light over long stretches of time. The gemstone contains traces of manganese, which is how it gets its pink colour. It is found in Afghanistan, Brazil, Madagascar, and the US state of California.
