Collection: Zircon

Zircon’s name is most likely derived from the Persian zargun (golden colored). The gem is available in many colours, though most natural stones are yellow, red, or brown. These stones are then typically heated to produce zircon stones in other colours such as the popular blue, green, or even the colourless variety also known as hyacinth, jacinth, or Matura diamond, whose brilliance and multicoloured flashes of light (called fire) bring it closer to resembling the diamond than any other gemstone. Its sparkle makes it a fantastic lower-cost alternative to diamonds, though it can also be mistaken for cubic zirconia, which is an unrelated, man-made gemstone despite having a similar-sounding name.
